It was impossible to know Al and not have some fun memories. I believe he lived life to the fullest. It was always good to see him at holiday gatherings with friends and there was always a good story... so many good stories. And, he was always willing to give help or advice; even when you didn't ask for it. Al will be missed. My condolences to the rest of the family.

Memories...unbelievable the memories I have...Al was a father to me at times...he gave us kids so much. It started with tons of love during our childhood, Lake life...fishing, boating, waterskiing...then came the motorized toys...motorcycles, snowmobiles including trips...building dune buggies and the trips to the sand dunes. The car trips listening to old country tunes. Hank Williams , Conway Twitter and such. 8 track tapes.
My first car at 15, was towed into the body shop and I bought it for $350. 1965 GTO. Geez, then came all the car building for Randy, Brent and I.
Al and Joanne really, were super great, providing, caring parents. Always felt the love.
I’ve had 50+ years of memories. Grateful I am.
I know of no other husband/wife, whom provided so much.

I met Al through my dad, Robin Johanson. They had known each for a number of years. I got to know Al better over the years when he would work on my car. Both of our dads are gone now, but will never be forgotten. I still remember that whenever my dad mentioned yours, it was always Al Roy, never just Al. My condolences for your loss. May God comfort your family and Al's friends as you mourn. I pray your memories bring you peace.
