Obituary for Barbara Palmer

Barbara Palmer
Barbara Palmer, age 70, of Shepherd passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in Mt. Pleasant under the care of Woodland Hospice.

Funeral Services for Barbara will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 12, at 1 pm with Doris Lucas officiating. A Luncheon will follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on the day of the service from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice or Community Cancer Services. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Barbara was born on June 8, 1945, in Owosso, the daughter of James and Bessie (Davis) Wiedman. Barbara graduated from Owosso High School and received a Masters from Central Michigan University. She was an elementary school teacher in the Montabella School System, teaching at the Blanchard and Webb Elementary, for 30 years, retiring in 1997. Barbara enjoyed working on crafts, scrapbooking, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her children, Bonnie (Darwin Shaffer) Simon of Alma and Brenda (Anthony) McNeal of Mt. Pleasant; and 6 grandchildren, Taylor (Austin) Martin, Ethan McNeal, Carter McNeal, Mikaela Simon, Devin Joslin, and Macy McNeal.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Wiedman.
