CANUTE, BARRY JOSEPH, age 59, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, April 25, 2016.

A Memorial Service for Barry will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Cheryl Davis officiating. A Luncheon will follow in Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of Service on Wednesday, May 4, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Barry was born on February 3, 1957, in Clare, the son of Clair and Patricia (Widener) Canute. He graduated in the Class of 1975 from Mt. Pleasant High School. Barry had been employed as a CNA for Medilodge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Barry is survived by his mother, Patricia Canute in Mt. Pleasant; brother Bill (Laura) Canute of Farwell, sister Brenda Canute of Mt. Pleasant; niece Alyson Canute and nephew Erik Canute.

Barry was preceded in death by his father Clair Canute on December 11, 2011.
