Obituary for Betty Louise Eckersley

BETTY LOUISE ECKERSLEY, age 94, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Isabella County Medical Care Facility.
Funeral Services for Betty will be held at First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Diane Gordon officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Following interment, a luncheon will be held at the church. The family will receive friends at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Sunday, June 18, from 3-5 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church the day of the service from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church or Isabella County Medical Care Facility's Memory Unit. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church.
Betty was born October 24, 1922 in Armada, Michigan to Neil Francis and Clarice V. (Tibbits) Brown. She married J. Dean Eckersley on July 11, 1942 in Lapeer, Michigan. He preceded her in death on October 12, 2011. Betty was a member of the hospital auxiliary, Mary Martha Circle, P.E.O. Sisterhood, and Women's City Club. She was also a member of Mt. Pleasant First United Methodist Church. Betty was a kind wife, mother, and true friend to many.
Betty is survived by her children Diane K. (Thomas) Bond of Chardon, OH, Deborah L. (John) Skinner of Mt. Pleasant, Denise L. (Charles) Lenk of Sanford; adopted brother Rob Bradshaw of Sanford; grandchildren Tamara Bond (Parker Adrine) of Mentor, OH, Thomas (Kim) Bond of Chesterland, OH, Mark (Brook) Skinner of Sunbury, OH, Craig (Beth) Skinner of Grand Ledge, Alexa (Todd) Zook of Neenah, WI, Adam Lenk of Auburn Hills, Abigail Lenk (Taylor Bowland) of Portland, OR; great grandchildren Katie Raynor, Colette Bond, Wesley, Riley, Tate, Rowen, AJ, Avi, and Kalea Skinner; Payton and Hannah Zook.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dean, brother Jack, and sister Phyllis Bradshaw.
