LOPER, BETTY ANNE LOU, age 78, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016, at. Pleasant.
Memorial Services for Betty will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dana Hendershot of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Betty was born November 4, 1938, in Standish, Michigan to Herbert and Ethel (Papple) Walker. She married Charles Loper on November 17, 1955, and he preceded her in death on October 7, 2004. Betty loved to ride her bicycle, enjoyed crocheting, and was a great cook and baker.
She is survived by her five children, Curtis (Nancy) Loper of Corunna, Peggy Martin of Mt. Pleasant, Gail Loper (Dave Yantz) of West Branch, Ron (Ruth) Loper of Alger, and Patrick (Lisa) Loper of Gladwin; daughter-in-law Deb Loper of Sterling; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother Kenneth Walker of Standish; and sister-in-law Sharon Walker of Bentley.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Loper; son Charles Loper Jr.; son-in-law Stan Martin; brother Jerry Walker; sister Linda Loper; and brother-in-law Erwin Loper.
