Obituary for Betty Lou Berryhill

BERRYHILL, BETTY LOU, age 71, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Toni and Trish House in Auburn.

A Funeral Mass for Betty will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Loren Kalinowski officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow at Sacred Heart Parish Hall. The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 27 and Thursday June 28 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel, and on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church. Rosary will be prayed Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Toni and Trish House. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church.

Betty was born June 27, 1946, in Big Rapids, to William Henry and Mary Stella (Kareckas) Rea. She married Gary Lee Berryhill on February 9, 1974 in Mt. Pleasant, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1975 .Betty was an LPN and an accountant at the Mt. Pleasant Regional Center for 25 years. She was a very active parishioner at Sacred Heart, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, assisted with many funeral dinners and counting the Sunday stewardship collections. Betty enjoyed traveling and movies.

Betty is survived by her son Thom (Lanette) LaLonde of St. Port Lucie, FL; 7 grandchildren Corey LaLonde of Grand Rapids, Shelby LaLonde of Holland, Daniel Gaffka of Port St. Lucie, FL, Caleb Gaffka of Okinawa, Japan, Cody Heath, Bailey Heath, and Luke Parsons all of Port St. Lucie, FL; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister Mary Louise Kozuch of Midland; nephew Matt Kozuch of Stanwood, and nieces Margie Crowe of Stafford, VA, and Molly Orr of Las Vegas, NV.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sister Lois Rea; and brothers Donald and Ralph Rea.
