Obituary for Bruce Dean "Waldo" Bennett

Bruce Dean "Waldo"  Bennett
Bruce Dean Bennett, age 43, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at the McLaren Central Michigan Hospital.

Funeral Services for Bruce will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 22, 2016, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert Pego officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodland Cemetery. A Luncheon will be held at the Tribal Gym following the Committal Service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Bruce was born on April 2, 1972 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Patricia Bennett. Bruce was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and worked several positions at the Soaring Eagle Casino. Bruce was an avid golfer, enjoyed watching UFC, and traveling. He will be remembered for being a loving and caring person who enjoyed taking care of close family and friends and their children.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Lynette Bennett; children, Theresa and Thalia; siblings, Glenn Bennett, Gary Bennett, and Tony Bennett; parents-in-law, Allen and Diane Pego; brother-in-law, Waylon Pego; sisters-in-law, Paula Pego, Tonya Paul, and Candice Pego; and many aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces, and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his mother; infant sister; brother-in-law, Allen Pego; sister-in-law, Terri Paul; uncle, Stanley Bennett; and aunts, Cheryl Bennett, Jean Bird, and Betty Nahmabin.
