Obituary for Carol Ann Konwinski

Carol Ann Konwinski
KONWINSKI, CAROL ANN, age 57, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at her home.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Don Henkes officiating. Rite of Committal will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, followed by a luncheon held at Comfort Inn in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the mass on Friday at the church. A Vigil Service will be held on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Academy Foundation, Mt. Pleasant Community Foundation: Carol and Jerel Konwinski Scholarship Fund, or Heartland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel or the church.

Carol was born on November 21, 1960, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Duane and Anna Marie (Fox) Huber. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy with the class of 1978. Carol worked as the office manager for Central Plumbing for 36 years. She married Jerel Konwinski on January 21, 2000 in Mt. Pleasant. Carol was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, volunteering her time to bring communion to homebound people. She also volunteered her time at Central Michigan Community Hospital. Carol enjoyed traveling, golfing, hunting, and fishing. She truly loved spending time with her family and friends.

Carol is survived by her husband Jerel Konwinski of Mt. Pleasant; daughter Melissa (Jon) Huitink of LaGrange Park, IL; grandchildren Lauren and Alex Huitink; brothers Jay (Brenda) Huber of Mt. Pleasant, Tom (Holly) Huber of Rainbow Lake, NY, and Tim Huber (Bill Mann) of Provincetown, MA; and her sister Susan (Mike) Beaver of Grand Haven.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
