HERRERA, CIRIA, age 85, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no services for Ciria. Burial will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral chapel.

Ciria was born on August 8, 1932 in Mercedes, Texas, to Placido R. and Antonia (Cornejo) Herrera. She was a migrant worker for much of her life. Ciria was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Daughter's. She loved to go out to eat, and enjoyed crocheting.

Ciria is survived by her sister Alice Martinez of Mt. Pleasant; sister-in-law Minnie Herrera of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews.

Ciria was preceded in death by her parents; brother; two sisters; and two nephews.
