Obituary for Claude Pierce

PIERCE, CLAUDE ALLEN JR., age 82, of Blanchard, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.

A Memorial Service for Claude will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eric Stadtfeld officiating. A Luncheon will be held immediately following at Reflections Reception Center at the funeral home. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Claude was born June 26, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan to Claude, Sr. and Loraine "Jessie" (Cherry) Pierce. He graduated from Remus High School with the class of 1953. Claude was a truck driver for Liquid Transport from 1969 to 1999. He married Marion Smith on July 20, 1956. Claude was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #406 and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Claude is survived by his wife, Marion; children, Becky (Brad) Kimball of Blanchard, Miranda (Rick) Fox of Winn, Randy (Dana) Pierce of Six Lakes, and Noland (Lori) Pierce of Lakeview; daughter-in-law, Pam Pierce of Pembine, WI; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steve Pierce in 2012; daughter, Cheryl Popard in 2016; 3 sisters, Estell, Claudine, and Juanita; and a brother, Don.
