GUTHRIE, DAVID RAY, age 64, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, June 20, 2016, at his home.

Funeral Services for David will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Terry Wilson of the Harmony Baptist Church officiating. A Luncheon will take place immediately following in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

David was born on February 4, 1952, in Lakeview, MI, the son of Homer and Eleene (Shattuck) Guthrie. David worked for many years as a water well driller for Courtright Well Drilling and also had worked for Delfield. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

David is survived by 2 sons, David R. Guthrie, Jr. and Richard Guthrie, both of Shepherd; grandson Timothy Guthrie of Shepherd; his mother Eleene Guthrie of Shepherd, 2 brothers, Danny (Beth) Guthrie of Shepherd and Terry (Gloria) Guthrie of Mt. Pleasant; and a sister Mary Jane (Edward) Toth of Coleman.

David was preceded in death by his father Homer Guthrie.
