Obituary for David William Hole

David William Hole, age 78, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Woodland Hospice House.

Funeral Services for David will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Friday, April 8, 2016, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Miller officiating. A Luncheon will follow at the church. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery after the Luncheon. The family will receive friends at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Organ Repair Fund or Art Reach. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the First Presbyterian Church.

David was born on May 22, 1937 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Gayle and Gladys (Parker) Hole. He married Marilyn E. Smith on November 7, 1959. He worked for Isabella Bank for 42 years, retiring as President and continuing to serve on the Board of Directors. David also served as President of the Mt. Pleasant Lions Club. David was a member, Elder, and Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, wood working, being outdoors, and family genealogy.

David is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn; children, William (Riesa) Hole and Suzanne (Jim) Sturdevant; grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan, Daniel, Rachel, and David; brother, Daniel (Rosemary Wood) Hole; and brother-in-law, David (Mary Jane) Smith.

David was preceded in death by his parents.
