Donald Angus McBane, 60, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2006, at New Hope Assisted Living.

Memorial services for Don will be held on Friday, October 20th, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Michigan University Marketing Department. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.

Don was born on October 1, 1946, in Trenton, NJ, the son of Robert and Doris (Allen) McBane. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. Don received his Bachelor's degree from Susquehanna University, PA, his Master's degree from Idaho State University, and his Doctorate from Texas Tech. He taught at Clemson University before coming to CMU as a marketing professor from 2000 until 2005. Don was a member of the American Marketing-Special Interest Group, Society for Marketing, and National Conferences in Sales Management. He enjoyed designing Web pages and photography.

Don is survived by his sister Janet (Gary) Taylor and her sons Chris Taylor and Greg (Heather) Taylor.

Don was preceded in death by his parents.

Don wanted to thank the staff at Morey Center for how nice everyone was and Dr. Diefenbach at Midland Hospital.
