Obituary for Doris Mae DeVall (Mulder)

Doris  Mae  DeVall (Mulder)
Doris Mae DeVall 88 of Harrison went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 21, 2017. Doris was born March 4, 1929 in Kalamazoo, Michigan the daughter of John and Marie H. (Weissner) Mulder. Doris graduated from Central High, Kalamazoo. On March 18, 1947 in Kalamazoo, Doris was united in marriage to Mr. Rexford Lee DeVall. After sixty-five years of marriage, Mr. DeVall preceded Doris on December 17, 2012.
Mrs. DeVall had resided in Harrison since September of 2011, moving from North Carolina. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Harrison. Doris spent many years alongside her husband providing prisoner ministries, and serving the Lord as a missionary. Doris enjoyed studying her Bible, reading books and tracts, ministering to many through cards and letters. She also found relaxation through needlepoint and crocheting.
Mrs. DeVall is survived by six children, three sons; Ronald DeVall and wife Judith of Harrison, Gerald DeVall and wife Harriette of Shepherd, Michigan and Bradley DeVall and wife Lori of Holland, Michigan, three daughters; Susan Hickerson and husband John of McAllen, Texas, Linda DeVall of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and Anita Liubakka and husband Tom of Crown Point, Indiana, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. DeVall also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Mulder.
Funeral services honoring Mrs. DeVall will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. from First Baptist Church, 3088 Mostetler Road, Harrison, with Pastor Tim Tanner officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at First Baptist Church, from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow immediately at Hatton Township Cemetery, Clare. Memorial gifts in memory of Doris may be considered to: First Baptist Church-Missions Program.
