Obituary for Doris Ann Roethlisberger

Doris Ann  Roethlisberger
ROETHLISBERGER, DORIS ANN, age 73, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Mid Michigan Medical Center-Gratiot.

Funeral Services for Doris will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. Pastor Gordy Houser will officiate. Interment will follow in Lincoln Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church.

Doris was born on November 1, 1942 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of Ernest and Elsie Mae (Tatro) Ellsworth. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. Doris married Charles Roethlisberger on June 18, 1966 in Lincoln Twp. She worked for the food service department at Central Michigan University for 10 years and also was an election official for Lincoln Township. Doris was active in her church, Central Michigan Free Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant. She was a wonderful cook, loved to crochet, knit, and play games. Doris enjoyed socializing and family gatherings, flower gardening, and canning. She also liked fishing, sports, and being outside.

Doris is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles Roethlisberger; several in laws Dorothy Steele of Mt. Pleasant, Joan (Don) Curtis of Middleton, Carol (Bob) Buchholtz of St. Louis, Margaret Grosset of St. Louis, Nancy (Jon) Griffith of Millington, Dave (Lorraine) Roethlisberger of Shepherd, Ray (Betty) Roethlisberger of Alma, Marlene Roethlisberger of Shepherd, Nan Roethlisberger of Mt. Pleasant, Don (Lodema) Roethlisberger of Mt. Pleasant, Barb Peacock of Kalamazoo, Alice Tatro of Winn; and many nieces and nephews.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Ernestine Curtiss, Arthur Tatro, Robert Tatro, Edward Tatro, Harold Tatro; and two brothers in law Albert Roethlisberger and Leon Roethlisberger.
