Obituary for Eva Mourtzouhos (Marks)

MORTZOUHOS, EVA, age 88, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at the Masonic Pathways in Alma.

Trisagion Prayers for Eva will be recited at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 4, at 1:30 p.m. with Fr. Timothy Cook of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. A Luncheon will be held at Cheers following the Committal Service. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 12 noon until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Eva was born on May 7, 1929, in Korfula, Greece, the daughter of Serefim "Sam" and Chyrsoula (Gersos) Marks. She married William "Bill" Mourtzouhos on January 11, 1959. Bill and Eva were owners of the Downtown Restaurant and the Chicken Shack in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Saginaw.

Eva is survived by brothers, Milton (Yiota) and Ike (Aphrodite) Marks; and many nieces and nephews.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 2016; parents; 4 sisters, Efrosinie, Alexandra, Malamatie, and Dimitrula.
