Obituary for Florence R. Benaske

Services: Monday, May 22, 1 p.m.


Visitation: Monday, May 22, 11 a.m. until time of service


Florence Ruperta Benaske, 87, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Friday, May 19, 2006 at Central Michigan Community Hospital.

Funeral services for Florence will be held on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 1 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Anthony Stockton officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Henry’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.

Florence was born on July 8, 1918 in Farwell, MI the daughter of August and Rachel (Colosky) Stayler. She worked as a waitress at Andy’s Restaurant and was a cook for Leaton School. Florence enjoyed her family, fishing, camping and cooking.

Florence is survived by her children, Sidney (Linda) Benaske of Mt. Pleasant, Lawrence Benaske and Fiancée, Leslie of Capac, Raymond (Mary Jane) Benaske and Frances (Timothy) Ash both of Mt. Pleasant; sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and brother: Sidney Stayler of Chesterfield, MI.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; son, August; sisters, Ethel and Sidonna and brother, Otto.
