Obituary for Floyd "Pete" Reed

REED, FLOYD ROBERT "PETE", age 84, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at his home.
Funeral Services for Pete will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Deacon Larry Fussman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 15 from 3-7 p.m. Visitation will also continue on Friday one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. A Luncheon will follow at the Reflections Reception Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan ALS. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Pete was born October 30, 1932 in Deerfield Township to Walter and Lola R. (Cross) Reed. He married Shirley Landwehr on August 30, 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pete served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army from 1953-1954. He retired in 1994 from Local Union #324, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. Pete loved spending time with his grandkids, and working in his yard.
Pete is survived by his wife Shirley Reed; children Peter (Amy ) Reed of Weidman, Daniel Robert Reed of Mt. Pleasant, Deborah (Glen) Trierweiler of Ionia, Rebecca (Scott) Mason of Sterling, VA; 7 grandchildren Zachary, Aidan, Keegan, Ashlynn, Kaylin, Nicole Marie and Christian
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Patty, brother Raymond, and sister Leona McDonald.
