Obituary for Gale Mae Haggart (Morgan)

Haggart, Gale Mae (Morgan) age 78, of Rosebush passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

Gale was born August 12, 1939; the oldest of 7 children, to Frank and Lena (Sheets) Morgan.

Gale married Ronald Haggart of October 17, 1959. The couple were soulmates for 38 years when Ron passed away April 21, 1997.

Gale retired from Central Michigan Community Hospital after 38 years on 3rd shift, dispatching the ambulance, admitting patients, and operating the switchboard.

She enjoyed spending time at their wooded property where she made memories that will last forever with her oldest grandson, Jonathan, family and friends. Gale was an avid bowler for 20 years, where she went from the most improved bowler to a 172 average and inspired her grandson James, to become a bowler.

Gale is survived by her daughters: Rhonda (Mike) DenBesten of Hamilton, Brenda Haggart (John Phelps) of Clare; grandsons; Jonathan Phelps and James Phelps of Clare; sisters: Louise Andrews of Coleman and Elaine (Dave) Love of Mt. Pleasant; aunt, Marge Sersaw of Gladwin, uncle, Leo Sheets of Clare; in-laws Virgil (Joyce) Haggart, Robert (Shelby) Haggart, Donna Prout, Gloria Haggart all of Rosebush, and Dan Haggart of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews.

Gale was preceded in death by her husband, Ron, parents, brothers: Jim, Jerry and Larry Morgan, sister Ethel Martinez, brothers-in-law: Eugene Andrews, Joe Martinez; sister-in-law Wanda Morgan; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Daisy Haggart; in-law's Myron (Sal) Haggart, Cleo (Joann) Haggart; Lonnie (Sherron) Haggart, Max, Jim, and Dean Haggart, Phyllis (Robert) Brown and Ray Prout.
