Gary Gene  Sperry
SPERRY, GARY GENE, age 77, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland.

A Memorial Gathering for Gary will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, July 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a military charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Gary was born on March 5, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Hiram and Gertrude (Sisco). He graduated from Weidman High School, the class of 1959. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Navy, retiring after 21 years of service. Gary worked for Intermedics and Benchmark Electronics, retiring in 2001. He married Virginia Gavel in 1985. Gary was loved by everyone that met him. He enjoyed serving on several committees for Chippewa Township.

Gary is survived by his wife, Virginia; children, Julie (Sperry) Moss, Garrett Luplow, Michael Sperry, Jason Luplow, and Brenda Sperry; 14 grandchildren, Stephen and Matthew Moss, Timothy and Sandy Pulec, Joseph and Chase Luplow, Andrea, Tyler, Rachel, and Brooklyn Sperry, Marian, Maya, Myra, and Myka Christopher; 3 great-grandchildren, Justice and Mercy Pulec and Everett Luplow; siblings, Margaret Blodgett, Patricia Krontz, twin brother, Jerry Sperry, Sandra Sullivan, and Richard Sperry; and many nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra (Estes) Sperry; daughter, Donna (Sperry) Pulec; baby boy, Thomas Sperry; and siblings, Bettie Latham and Mary Cocklin.
