Obituary for Gilda Evideen Teeter (Woolworth)

TEETER, GILDA EVIDEEN, age 84, formerly of Weidman, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Funeral Services for Gilda will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 14, at 12 noon. A Luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome Children's Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Gilda was born on April 24, 1933, in Hinton Township, the daughter of Willard and Ila (Seaton) Woolworth. She married Homer Ray Teeter on June 20, 1970 in Howard City. She worked at Wolverine Worldwide in Big Rapids for many years before operating a day care. Gilda attended the Church of Daniels Band. Gilda loved spending time at the church and spending time taking care of others.

Gilda is survived by her daughters, Angela and Brenda Teeter; granddaughter, Raelee Teeter; six brothers, Elmer (Ruth) Woolworth of Big Rapids, Jim (Dorene) Woolworth of Mecosta, Ivan (Janet) Woolworth of Jackson, Maynard (Illa) Woolworth of Concord, Larry (Janet) Woolworth of Parma, and Phil (Wanda) Woolworth of Barbeau; four sisters, Rene LeClear of Hastings, Opal (Irving) Ball of Portland, Phyllis Woolworth of Cedar Springs, and Mary (Merlin) Tiede of Ada; and many nieces and nephews

Gilda was preceded in death by her husband, Homer in 2004; parents; and brother, Francis Woolworth in 2005.
