MONTROSS, GISELE GERMAINE, age 89, of Mt. Pleasant, joined our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA.

Private Funeral Services will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel, and interment will take place in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Penn Medicine Hospice Services 400 E. Marshall Street, West Chester, PA 19380.

Gisele was born December 2, 1927 in France to Leon and Germaine (Le Gac) Girard. She met the love of her life, Denton "Monty" Montross in France during WWII. They married in September 14, 1946 in Harfleur, France. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Gisele's legacy is one of compassion, unconditional love and commitment to her family and her community. From her childhood days in France through her life with her family and beloved dog Max, Gisele set a true example of living a life full of love and joy. She truly impacted those in her life and the love she felt for others is forever reciprocated deeply within the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Gisele was active in the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant, where she served as a deacon. She found great joy in being a volunteer for many years at Central Michigan Community Hospital. Gisele also enjoyed bowling and golfing.

Gisele is survived by her children: son Gary (Rose) Montross of Big Rapids, Nancy (Mike) Sinko of Alma, Christiane (Mac) Crawford of Chester Springs, PA, and Mark (Ruth) Montross of Marshall; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.

Gisele was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Monty on October 3, 2000, and sister in law Virginia Taylor.
