ZYGMONT, GLORIA JEAN, age 79, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Woodland Hospice.

A Funeral Mass for Gloria will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Ricky Varner officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to CAFE (Child And Family Enrichment Council, benefiting child sexual abuse survivors) 2480 W. Campus Drive, Suite B100, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church.

Gloria was born on July 1, 1937 in Coleman, MI, the daughter of Fred and Nora (Zajac) Zygmont. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1956. Gloria loved cooking and was an avid Scrabble player. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish.

Gloria is survived by her sister Mary (Robert) Trussell of Warren, MI; and several nieces and nephews.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Walter, Joseph, Alvin, John; and two sisters, Florence Vorce, and Eleanor Ayris.
