Helen Louise Flower, 84, of Weidman passed away on Monday, August 14th at Country Place Assisted Living.

Funeral services for Helen will be held on Thursday, August 17th at 2:30 p.m. from the Weidman United Methodist Church with Pastor Randall Roose officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 16th from 4-8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Heartland Hospice or Commission on Aging. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church.

Helen was born on July 15, 1922 in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of John and Rosetta (Bundy) Showalter. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, class of 1940. Helen married David Flower on November 4, 1943. She was a member of the Weidman United Methodist Church and volunteered for the Commission on Aging’s food site in Weidman. Helen enjoyed crossword puzzles and her cat, Morris.

Helen is survived by her children, Thomas (Mary) Flower and Jennie (Tim) Vickers both of Weidman; ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and brothers, Robert (Mary) Showalter of Collinsville, VA and Richard (Emmy) Showalter of Ithaca.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, David; parents; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Mitchell McArthur and brother, John Showalter.
