MALONEY, HELEN C., age 91, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015, at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant.

Per Helen's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held in Townsend, TN, on July 30, 2016, for immediate family and close friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice House, 2597 S. Meridian Rd., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.

Helen was born on September 7, 1924, in Oconto, WI, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Greenwood) McTavish. She married Wilfred "Bill" Maloney July 12, 1943 in Green Bay, WI. Helen worked as an assistant officer manager for the Illinois Bell Telephone Company for 20 years. She was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. She loved nature, especially bird-watching. Helen was an avid quilter — making at least one quilt for each of her eight children and many others for grandchildren and friends. She learned this talent in her retirement. Helen will be greatly missed by family and the many friends she and her husband made over the several years they traveled in their motor home in retirement.

Helen is survived by her children, Michael (Mary) Maloney of Naples, FL, Mary Ellen Walsh of Mt. Pleasant, Patrick Maloney of Morton Grove, IL, John Maloney of Ingleside, IL, Billy (Paloma) Maloney of Evanston, IL, Betsy (Paul) Allen of Windsor, California, and Dan Maloney of New Milford, CT; son-in-law, Brad Clarke of Fort Myers, FL; 24 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren; and sister, Marjorie Szalkowski of Waukesha, WI.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Wilfred on August 7, 2015; daughter, Kathleen Marie Clarke; parents; and brother, Edward McTavish.
