GATES, HUGH V., age 73, of Harrison, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015, at Woodland Hospice House.

Cremation has taken place with a private family Memorial Service. Those wishing to remember Hugh are asked to consider Woodland Hospice, 2597 S. Meridian Road, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan 48858. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel & Cremation Service.

Hugh was born July 4, 1942, in Spring Creek, NC, the son of Clyde Richard and Tella Jane (Darnell) Gates. He was employed for 15 years in maintenance at Wal-Mart in Houghton Lake.

Hugh is survived by his sisters Bonnie (John L.) Marshall of Southgate, Brenda R. (Ed) Lankford of Spruce Pine, NC, and Wilma J. Pyatt of Marion, NC. He was preceded in death by his first wife Norma Fouts and his second wife Wanda Fouts.
