Obituary for James Paul "Jim" Buzbee
James “Jim” Paul Buzbee 73 of Harrison passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. James was born June 29, 1943 in Empire, Alabama the son of Ervin and Katherine (Turner) Buzbee. Upon his highschool graduation and two years of College, Jim was united in marriage to his sweetheart, Ms. Emma Lee Kincaid on July 20, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Buzbee had resided in Harrison since 1999, coming from Lansing, Michigan and formerly of Empire, Alabama. Jim retired from General Motors Corporation of Lansing as a supervisor, after thirty-five years of dedicated service. Jim was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #2235 of Harrison. Mr. Buzbee held a great passion for tinkering, restoring and cruising in his classic cars or perhaps an occasional drag race from stop light to stop light. Jim enjoyed gardening, yard work, fishing, hunting and wintering in Alabama.
Surviving Mr. Buzbee is his soulmate of fifty-three years, Mrs. Emma Lee Buzbee of Harrison, his three loving daughters; Katherin Gonzales of Clare, Michigan, Kimberly Kenny and husband Jeff of Lansing and Paula “Renee” O’Berry of Lansing, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one sister, Jeanine Busby and husband Ricky of Empire, Alabama, one brother, William Buzbee and wife Carla of Jasper, Alabama, plus many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Mr. Buzbee was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Betty Buzbee and three brothers; Ervin Buzbee Jr., J.C. Buzbee and Wayne Buzbee.
Funeral services honoring James will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Mr. David Lynn Buzbee officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Summerfield Township Cemetery, Harrison.
