James “Mike” Michael Jones, 51, of Blanchard passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Central Michigan Community Hospital.

Funeral services for Mike will be held Monday, September 18th at 1 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Pastor Greg Buchner officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Michigan Community Hospital – ICU. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Mike was born on October 4, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Larry and Mary “Veronica” (McElhaney) Jones. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, class of 1972. Mike worked in the oil field for over 30 years, most recently as a rig operator for Stone Well Service. He married Lynn Craycraft on December 19, 1997 in Mt. Pleasant. Mike enjoyed fishing, antiquing, refinishing furniture and camping.

Mike is survived by his wife, Lynn; children, Mike (Kim) Jones of Shepherd, Jessica Jones and fiance’, Darrell Highley of Mt. Pleasant, James (Stacey) Martindale of Chelsea and Kourtney (Ritchie) Pumfrey of Newberry; grandchildren, Rashel, Darin, Zachary and Tyler Jones, Cassidy Highley, Paige and Amanda Martindale and Desiree’ and Joey Pumfrey; mother, Veronica Zuker of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Diane (Bob) Lackie of Mt. Pleasant and Marilyn (Robert) Zeneberg; brothers, Dave Zuker, Pat (Patti) Zuker, Joe (Cindy) Zuker and Jerry (Kathy) Zuker and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his father in 1966 and infant daughter, Jamie in 1976.
