Obituary for James Jacob "Jake" Powell Jr.

POWELL, JAMES JACOB, JR., age 60, of Farwell, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at his home.

A Memorial Service for James will be held at the Farwell American Legion Post on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 1 p.m.

James was born June 28, 1955 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of James and Shirley Ann (Stambaugh) Jacob. He served in the U.S. Army and was a disabled veteran. He was highly respected and active in Alcoholics Anonymous. James enjoyed fishing and hunting.

James is survived by his wife Martha Powell of Mt. Pleasant; son James J. Powell III of Rosebush; daughter Amanda Powell of New York; 2 grandchildren James J. Powell IV and Angel Powell; mother Shirley Stambaugh of Mt. Pleasant; brother Richard (Terri) Powell of Harrison, and sister Lela Powell of Tucson, AZ;

James was preceded in death by his father.
