Obituary for Jason G. Denslow

Jason G.  Denslow
Jason G. Denslow, age 90, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital.

Funeral Services for Jason will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 29, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dar Blanshan officiating. A Luncheon will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Eagles #4463, 1440 S. Isabella Rd., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858, where a meal will be provided by the Eagle's Lodge and the VFW Post 3033. Interment with Military Honors will take place in the Pine River Cemetery on Thursday, October 29, at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, October 29, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the family, the Dana Denslow Advocacy Center/CAFE’ (Child And Family Enrichment Council), or Community Cancer Services. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Jason was born to Raymond and Geneva (Moody) Denslow in Blanchard, MI on June 2, 1925. He married Glee Mack on March 18, 1945, at the Edmore Methodist Church. They were married for 59 years when Glee passed in 2004. He was a man of many trades and could fix anything. He worked as a farmer, had a milk route, Dow Chemical, Johnson Oil Company, and was self-employed working with Total and Leonard Gas Stations. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved playing a game of rummy. He loved his family and was very proud of their many accomplishments. He proudly served his country in the Army in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post 3033, Fraternal Order of the Eagles #4463, Harrison Moose Lodge #2235, American Legion #0110, and AMVETS #0422.

Jason is survived by his daughter, Joan (John) Maul; grandchildren, Michael (Holly) Cook, Patrick Cook, Kathryn (Michael) Thompson, Jeremy Denslow, Joel (Lori) Denslow, Carrie Denslow, John (Leslie) Maul, and Mary (Brian) Williams; along with 23 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Jason was preceded in death by his son, Detective/Sergeant Dana Denslow; parents; brother, Fay Denslow; and sisters, Shirley Denslow, Beryl Roselle, Preppa Gisch, and Ruth Cook.
