Jean Thomas (Onuskanich)
THOMAS, JEAN, age83, of Blanchard, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw.
A Memorial Service for Jean will be held at 3 p.m. on March 11, 2017 at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Benjamen Evers officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Isabella County Commission on Aging. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Jean was born on January 31, 1934 in Frackville, PA to John and Mary (Dzedzik) Onuskanich. She married Richard Thomas on August 15, 1964 in Redford, MI. She worked as Head Cashier for many grocery stores for Food Fare for almost 10 years, as well as various other part time jobs. Jean enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and knitting.
Jean is survived by her husband Richard Thomas of Blanchard; children Annette K. MacNamara of Lansing, John M. (Linda) Thomas of South Carolina, Jean A. (Mark) Bechard of Novi, Lisa L. (Joseph) Yatooma of Brighton; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Mike Onuskanich of Cedarville, MI, and Melvin Onuskanich of Mt. Pleasant.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Pete, Frank, and Andy; sister Tess Hollister; brother in law Claude Hollister; and son in law Michael MacNamera.
