Obituary for Joan B. Hrdlovich

HRDLOVICH, B. JOAN, age 87, of Rosebush, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital.
A Funeral Mass for Joan will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Ron Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Burial will take place in St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery in Rosebush. Memorial contributions may be made to Make A Wish Foundation, Woodland Hospice, or American Cancer Society.
Joan was born February 16, 1930 in Rosebush to Vernon and Frances (Furney) Funnell. Following graduation, Joan worked at Michigan Bell Telephone Co. Joan married Joseph T. Hrdlovich on June 3, 1949 at St. Henry's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death November 8, 2001. Joan worked for 35 years for St. Henry's Catholic Church and School, serving as a secretary and bookkeeper for the school lunch program. She was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church, St. Henry's Alter Society, and Central Extension. Joan was also a 4-H knitting instructor, and involved in several card clubs.
Joan is survived by her children Thomas (Denise) Hrdlovich of Rosebush, Pamela (Bob) Evans of Mt. Pleasant, Sheri (Tom) Nartker of Shepherd; grandchildren Beth (Joe) Janetski, Bryce (Julie) Hrdlovich, Brandon (Pam) Hrdlovich, Rob (Desiree) Evans, and Emily (Kris) Burton; 12 great grandchildren; sisters Cynthia (Bob Newhall) Agle of Clare, Christine (Brian) Harris of Pottersville; brothers Jack (Delia) Funnell and Rob Funnell both of Zephyrhills, FL.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph, son Richard, brothers Lewis, LeRoy, and Joe Funnell; sisters Virginia Horn and Peggy Glasgow; and brother in law and sister in law Bob and Mary Sanderson.
