HAMBLIN, JOHN EDWARD, 68, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016, at his home.

Cremation has taken place.

John was born September 5, 1948, in West Virginia, the son of Floyd Edward and Loretta June (Ball) Hamblin. He married Terry Irwin on August 19, 1974. John had worked as a cashier at gas stations.

John is survived by his daughter, Terry Hamblin (fiance’ Jared Blott); brothers Floyd Hamblin, Jr. (Brenda), Willie Hawks (Nellie); and sisters Barbara G. Taylor (Lonnie), Frances Parks, Sherry Jackson (Tim).

John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Terry Hamblin, on July 3, 2001; his parents; brothers Delmar Hamblin and Kenneth Hamblin; and brother-in-law Dale Parks.
