Joshua Allen Kamphouse 21 of Leota passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, August 24, 2018. Joshua was born June 29, 1997 in Cadillac, Michigan, the son of Heidy Westdorp and John Kamphouse. Joshua graduated from McBain High School Class of 2015.
Joshua had resided in McBain and Leota his entire lifetime. Joshua loved welding, receiving 2 awards from the State of Michigan during a welding competition. Joshua enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, working out, writing music to express his feelings, joking around and playing practical jokes on his family and friends, and was known to “always have a plan.” While attending school, Joshua was very involved in sports, playing football, basketball and baseball.
Surviving Joshua are his loving parents; Heidy Westdorp of Harrison, John Kamphouse of McBain and Norm Snyder of Leota, five sisters; Elizabeth Snyder, Kara Kamphouse, Casey Snyder, Amie Hose and Andie Hose, one brother, Levi Snyder, several aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents Ken and Judy Kamphouse.
Celebration of Life services honoring Joshua will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from Rehoboth Reformed Church, 8372 South Lucas Road, McBain, Michigan 49657 with Pastor Dirk Koetje officiating. Family and friends are encouraged to gather for a time of visitation on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, 165 W. Oak St., Harrison, Mi. 48625 and on Wednesday, from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at Rehoboth Reformed Church. Memorial gifts in memory of Joshua may be considered to the Kamphouse Family, in care of Heidy Westdorp.
