JARVI, JULIA “JULIE” EMMA. Age 92, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Julia was born August 27, 1923, in Detroit, the daughter of Reed and Louella (Niblett) Wilson. She married Rueben I. Jarvi on April 29, 1944, in Highland Park. Julie worked as a beautician at Artist Salon in Detroit and had previously cooked for Meals on Wheels in West Branch. Julie was an avid reader. She was a selfless, kind and caring person. Julie was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished and loved her family.

Julie is survived by her daughter, Paula Clagett of Mt. Pleasant, friend, Harry Schafer of Weidman, son, Paul “Terry” (Lenda) Jarvi of Florida, daughter, Kelli (Les) Townsend of Sault Ste. Marie, 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Julie was preceded in death by her husband Rueben Jarvi on December 24, 1983, her son-in-law Ed Clagett, and her parents.
