Obituary for Keith Allen Leasher

Keith Allen Leasher, age 77, of Blanchard passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, at his home under the care of Woodland Hospice.

Funeral Services for Keith will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, July 25, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kathleen Kursch of the Blanchard Pine River United Methodist Church officiating. A Luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Committal will take place in the Pine River Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 24, from 3 to 6 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blanchard Pine River United Methodist Church or Woodland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Keith was born on April 3, 1939, in Rosebush, the son of George and Olive (Owens) Leasher. Keith lived in the Blanchard area all of his life, moving only a mile away from the family farm. Keith had many jobs, but retired from Morbark Industries after 31 years, in April 2001. He married Connie Apps on June 13, 1964. Keith was a parishioner at the Blanchard Pine River United Methodist Church. He was a humorous loving man, who enjoyed farming, playing cards, tinkering, cutting wood, and spending time at the cabin.

Keith is survived by his wife of 52 years, Connie; children, Mary (Rey) Hernandez of Lakeview and Allen (Carol) Leasher of Six Lakes; 4 grandchildren, Miranda (Hanno) Poenicke, Lara Hernandez, Dan Hernandez, and Brittany (Derrick) Andress; 1 great-grandson, Bryce Andress; brothers, Lee (Kathy) Leasher of Beaverton, Olin (Judy) Leasher of Santa Rosa, CA, and Jim (Gloria) Leasher of Breckenridge; sisters, Evelyn Leasher of Blanchard and Beatrice (Ron) Windgaston of Shepherd; and several nieces and nephews.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jack and Bill Leasher.
