Obituary for Kenneth Jack Shelton

Kenneth Jack  Shelton
SHELTON, KENNETH JACK, age 63, of Canadian Lakes passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Woodland Hospice in Mt. Pleasant.

A celebration of Ken's life will be held for family and close friends on May 21, 2016.
Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice.

Ken was born March 29, 1953 in Stillwater, OK to Jack and Margaret (Matteson) Shelton. He graduated from Dearborn High School in 1971, and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University. Ken was a Lead Analyst for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan for 32 years, and retired in 2008. He married Patricia Herula on November 24, 1995. Ken was a lifelong hockey player as a goalie. He loved golfing and traveling.

Ken is survived by his wife Pat Shelton of Canadian Lakes, stepson Harold (Kelly) Herula of Warren, MI; father Jack Shelton of Marco Island, FL; brother John Shelton of Dearborn, MI; sister Jacqueline (Bill) Krampf of Gaithersburg, MD; 2 brothers in law Don (Joyce) Herula of Rochester Hills, MI; Jerry (Marlene) Herula of Macomb Twp., MI; 9 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
