Obituary for Lanna (Melinda) Forster Pringle (Harris)

Lanna (Melinda) Forster Pringle (Harris)
Lanna (Melinda) Forster Pringle, age 53, of Mt. Pleasant, lost her courageous battle to Lupus on Monday, January 9th, 2017. She was nothing short of a badass- overcoming and defying the odds of multiple life-threatening medical illnesses for years, while never allowing her diagnoses to define her.
Lanna is survived by “her boys” who were her pride and joy, Payton Pringle and Dillon Pringle and his girlfriend Elyse Beutler, her soulmate identical twin sister Cec Harris, loving mother Jean Taylor, supportive father and stepmother Roberta and Edward Owen Harris II. She is also survived by her sissy and protector Heather H. Harris, brother Richard O. Harris II, niece Rowan, devoted niece and nephew Alexia and Lennon Torres, Joelzie and great niece Sylvie, Ronnie, Lisa, Stells and Bells, her best friend Sheila Beutler, close family, friends, and her beloved dogs Vivi and Stevie.
Lanna was born on February 10th,1963. She was inspired by nature and created beautiful gardens. It brought Lanna incredible joy to make thoughtful gifts for her loved ones. She was a silly, sweet, kind soul, who will always be remembered by the heartfelt sticker-covered cards she sent. Her family is forever grateful for her outstanding team of healthcare providers, especially Dr. Julie Stevens and Dr. Maria Laynes.
Come as you are to a celebration of Lanna’s life at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 13th at 2 PM, where we will share stories and memories of her fabulously full life with a luncheon to follow. Lanna requested you give a donation or leash to HATS in honor of her beloved Bedlington Terrier Madison. Lanna always said that the gift of her family was all she needed to get by in life, but really she was ours.
