Leona L. LaBelle – age 85 of Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Clare. Leona was born on January 29, 1931 to parents Leo and Marie (Lehmann) Winton in Wyandotte. Leona was married to Peter J. LaBelle II on January 7th, 1950 in Trenton, MI until he preceded her to their next adventure on May 16, 1998. Leona was an Eastern Star Member, involved with Relay for Life, and enjoyed painting quilting, crocheting, gardening, sewing, and crafting. She is survived by her son Peter Joseph III and his wife Valerie; daughters: Janice Coburn, and Tammie Spanke and her fiancé Bill Sickmiller; grandchildren: Dameon (Jennifer) Metzger, Hope (Doug) Young, Cierra LaBelle, Conar LaBelle; great-grandchildren: Carley and Nathan Young, Dylan and Wyatt Metzger; a brother Roger Winton and wife Leslie of Taylor, brother-in-law Richard Teska; also extended family members, Mike Spanke and his wife Peggy. Leona was preceded by her parents, and a sister Beatrice Teska. A funeral service is planned for Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2PM at the Stocking Funeral Home in Harrison. Vico Botello will officiate with burial in Pleasant Plains Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 10 AM until the time of service at 2PM.
