PROUT, LILLIAN BETTY, 92, of Rosebush passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at MediLodge of Mt. Pleasant in Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral Services for Lillian will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church on Monday, November 30th, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gene Haymaker officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 p.m. to the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon Bible Foundation or charity of the donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and Maranatha Baptist Church.

Lillian was born on April 9th, 1923, in Leaton, Michigan, the daughter of Adam and Eva (Bender) Holp. She married Lloyd James Prout on April 12, 1945, at Leaton Methodist Church. Lillian worked for Isabella County Medical Care Facility for approximately 35 years. She was an exceptional mother and grandmother. She was the glue that brought her entire family together and supported them all. Lillian enjoyed playing the keyboard and singing hymns. Family was her heart, she would always call her family members on their birthdays to play and sing Happy Birthday.

Lillian is survived by son Lanny and Krista Prout of Rosebush; son Lynn and Christine Prout of Rosebush; 5 grandchildren Steve and Shannon Prout of Shepherd, Shelly and Mike Nelson of Rosebush, Andrea and Jon Graham of Rosebush, Sara White of Carson City, and Stephanie Wale of Rosebush; 13 great grandchildren Caleb, Teresa, Alex, Skyler, Nickolos, Olivia, Noah, Daisy, Emmett, Tyler, Cameron, Kieara, and Catelynn; and her sister Katherine and Jim O'Donnell of Rosebush. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life Lloyd, grandsons Chad Jessop, Andrew & Alexander Nelson; brothers Adam, Donald, and Philip Holp; sisters Evelyn Lapham, Emogene Keller, Francis Watson, and an infant sister.
