PEREZ, LINDA G., age 66, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Covenant Healthcare.

A Memorial Service for Linda will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 24, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. The family will receive family and friends from 12 noon until the time of Service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Linda was born on October 31, 1949, in Green Cove Springs, FL, the daughter of Harold and Nettie (Hewer) Jenkins. She graduated from Cedarville High School. Linda married Bernardino Perez, Jr., on July 23, 1971, in Mackinaw City, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, going gambling, watching soaps and Law and Order, and listening to country music. Linda also enjoyed traveling, fishing, and playing cards with her family and friends.

Linda is survived by her husband, Bernardino; children Ricardo Perez of Springfield, IL and Angel (Kessler) Valentin of Boston, MA; 2 grandchildren Gage Fairchild and Kaden Valentin; and a brother and sister.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and sister Diane VanDerSys.
