Obituary for Lois F. Ritter (Young)
Lois F. Ritter, age 89, of Weidman passed away Thursday, October 21, 2015, at the Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral Services for Lois will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Two Rivers Cemetery. A Luncheon will be held at the Weidman Masonic Lodge. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Lois was born on November 18, 1925, in Lansing, the daughter of Felton and Leone (DeVore) Young. She married Clarence Ritter in Lansing. Clarence and Lois lived in the Lansing area most of their life until retiring to Coldwater Lake. Lois enjoyed playing bingo, reading her magazines on her swing at the lake, and spending time with her friends and family. She will be remembered for her warm heart, joy of life, and her infectious giggle. She will be missed by her family and those she touched over the years.
Lois is survived by her son, Gordon (Janet) Ritter of Weidman; granddaughter, Dawn (Jack) Cook of Weidman; and great-grandsons, Pat and Austin Cook.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 1977; granddaughter, Jamie Ritter in 1982; parents; and brothers, Bud and Jerry Young.
