Marjorie Jean Brown, 90, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Friday, September 22, 2006 at Isabella County Medical Care Facility.
Memorial Services for Jean will be held on Friday, September 29, 2006 at 11 a.m. from the First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Boley officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan. Envelopes will be available at the church and Clark Funeral Chapel.
Jean was born on March 1, 1916 in Mecosta the daughter of Orwell and Mary Marjorie (Roe) Garner. She married Vincent Brown on April 11, 1941 in Weidman. Jean graduated from Cleary College. She worked as a linotype operator for the Weidman Messenger and the Mt. Pleasant Daily Times News. Jean was a member of the First United Methodist Church, McKenzie Circle, Girl Scout Leader, Weavers Guild and was also active in Church World Service. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, entertaining, playing games and was a Super Home Keeper.
Jean is survived by her husband, Vincent; children, Patty (Jim) Lommel of Dexter, Steve (Vickie) Brown of Mt. Pleasant and Bonnie Brown of Scotville; grandchildren, Michael Lommel, Jennifer Owens, John Lommel, Dylan, Ryan, Codi, and Spencer Brown, Rebecca Bailey and Laura DAgostino; great-grandchildren, Jillian Owens, Isaac Messeder and Gianna Bailey; and her sister, Shirley Gingrich of Lansing.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents.
