Obituary for Mark Grubaugh
Mark Allen Grubaugh 62 of Harrison passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his home after a long illness. Mark was born March 28, 1955 in Ypsilanti, Michigan the son of Billy Gene and Katherine Gertrude (Evans) Grubaugh. Mark was united in marriage to the former Debra Lee Manier on February 19, 1973 in Arizona.
Mr. Grubaugh had resided in Harrison since 1979, coming from Ypsilanti. Mark enjoyed vegetable gardening, sharing his vegetables with family, friends or those in need, working on his yard, keeping it immaculate, watching football and baseball, listening to music and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving Mark is his wife of forty-four years, Mrs. Debra L. Grubaugh of Harrison, two daughters; Lisa M. Grubaugh of Harrison and Angel L. Grubaugh of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, one son, Jessie Grubaugh and wife Kelly of Mount Pleasant, seventeen grandchildren, five sisters; Cheryl Steinaway of Jackson, Michigan, Tina Brokaw of Ohio, Tammy Scott and husband Larry of Milan, Michigan, Thereasa Bailey and husband Bub of Belleville, Michigan and Clara Evans and husband Larry of Belleville, four sons; Billy Grubaugh of Saginaw, Michigan, Chris Grubaugh of Ypsilanti, Anthony Grubaugh of Kentucky and Bob Manier and wife Phyllis of Belleville, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and his beloved cat, Bridgette. Mr. Grubaugh was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Michelle Lynn Grubaugh.
Memorial services honoring Mr. Grubaugh will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts in memory of Mr. Grubaugh may be considered to the Grubaugh family, in care of Debbie L. Grubaugh.
