Light refreshments will immediately follow at Reflections Reception Center. Burial of ashes will take place in July in Marquette, Michigan. Mary Anne was born on July 19, 1945 in Marquette, Michigan to Donald and Rose (Bertrand) Carriere. She married Dennis Zyskowski at St. Johns Catholic Church in Marquette on August 13, 1966. She was a stay at home mother raising her children, and was an LPN for many years. Mary Anne worked for Tendercare in Clare, and Mid Michigan Medical Center-Clare for 10 years. She retired in 2011. Mary Anne was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Clare, and most recently was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant. She volunteered with Hospice in Clare and was a volunteer EMT in Rudyard. Mary Anne was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who adored her children and grandchildren. She was an avid Tiger Woods fan, loved reading, exercising, and walking. Mary Anne was always a proud Grandma. She was a wonderful influence to her granddaughter Megan Rose, following in her footsteps to become a nurse. Watching her grandson, Stuart, in net was one of her favorite things to do. Her weekly phone calls with grandson Joseph always gave her great pleasure, and snuggles with Jackson gave her great comfort.
Mary Anne is survived by her husband Dennis Zyskowsi of Mt. Pleasant; son Mark (Michelle) Zyskowski of Plymouth; son Paul (Kristen) Zyskowski of Warren; daughter Carol (Michael) MacDonald of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren Megan Rose, Stuart, Joseph, and Jackson; two brothers Jude (Mary Ann) Carriere of Marquette, and Donald Carriere of Minnesota.
