ONUSKANICH, MELVIN, age 89, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Farmington Hills, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Woodland Hospice.

Private Graveside Services will take place at Union Cemetery in Fremont Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Isabella County Commission on Aging. Envelopes are available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel or Commission on Aging.

Melvin was born on August 23, 1927 in Frackville, PA to John and Mary (Dzedzik) Onuskanich. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Philippines. Melvin retired from Detroit Water Board after 30 years. He loved to study the stock market, research religious readings, and study health supplements.

Melvin is survived by a brother Michael Onuskanich of Cedarville, MI; brother in law Richard Thomas of Blanchard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Jean and Tess; brothers John, Peter, Andy, and Frank.
