Obituary for Michael Dale Gillespie
GILLESPIE, MICHAEL DALE, age 50, of Grand Rapids passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Forest Hills Nursing Home in Grand Rapids.
Funeral Services for Michael will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 17, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ron Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A Luncheon will follow at the Comfort Inn Suites, 2424 S. Mission St., Mt. Pleasant, MI, 48858. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation continues the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of your choosing. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Michael was born on February 27, 1966, in Clare, the son of Dale Junior Gillespie and Ann Marie (Post) Hill. Michael worked for Mid Michigan Industries.
Michael is survived by his parents, Ann Hill of Norfolk, VA and Dale (LaDonna) Gillespie of Hazel Park; brothers, Steven (Aimee) Gillespie of Kalamazoo, Daniel (Christine) Gillespie of Grosse Pointe Woods, and Alex Gillespie of Hazel Park; sisters, LuEllen (Chris) Smith of St. John and Samantha (Phil) Buzzette of Clinton Township; and numerous aunts, uncles, and family in Mt. Pleasant.
