Patricia “Pat” VanOrden, age 69, of Mount Pleasant died Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Tendercare Nursing Facility in Mount Pleasant.

Funeral services for Pat will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Clark Funeral Chapel in Mount Pleasant, with Pastor Merritt Bongard of New Life Christian Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 29, 2006 from 7-9 p.m.

Memorial contributions will be gratefully accepted by the family in lieu of flowers, toward final expenses. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.

Pat was born on December 24, 1936, in Mount Pleasant. She enjoyed Bible study, playing cards, shooting pool and darts as well as time with family and friends. She was a member of the Women of the Moose.

Pat is survived by her children, Cindy (Ron) Howard of Mount Pleasant, Louis VanOrden, Jr. of Houston, Texas and Betty (Michael) Knox of Mount Pleasant; her two grandchildren, Calvin and Kyle Knox; her siblings, Joyce (Guy) Rolston of Mount Pleasant, Dick (Ginny) Ferris of Largo, Florida, Edward (Marty) Ferris of Sanford, Chuck (Theresa) Ferris of Mount Pleasant, Jean (Paul) Mayercak of Shepherd, Nancy (Al) Smith of Monroeville, OH, Irvin (Sheryl) Crain of Monroeville, OH and Kenneth (Diane) Crain of Jameson, AL, many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Earl Clark of Midland.
