He married Anna Marie Halfmann on May 10, 1947 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed 68 wonderful years with the love of his life. Patrick was a proud Veteran of WWII. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 until July of 1946 on the USS Cottle in the Pacific. He worked for Black Sivalls & Bryson based in Oklahoma City for 20 years. In 1971 he started his own oil business, Midstate Sandblasting & Painting, and Shamrock Sales & Service until 1988. He was so proud to have his two sons work in the business with him.

Patrick and Ann lived for 12 years at Houghton Lake where he loved to fish and golf. He was a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Elks, Veterans of Foreign Affairs, and the Sacred Heart Athletic Board. Patrick was the happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He made an unforgettable and wonderful impression on everyone his life touched. He was generous beyond belief and was an amazing story teller. He was always very proud of the education he received at Sacred Heart Academy and the tutoring he received from Sister Jordan Marie in typing class because it enabled him to attain the job of Youman in the Navy.
