Obituary for Raldon Michael Pasch

Services: Tuesday, May 2, 10:30 a.m.


Visitation: Sunday, April 30, 6-9 p.m.
Monday, May 1, 6-9 p.m.
Tuesday, May 2, 9:30 a.m. until time of service


Raldon Michael Pasch, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, entered into eternal life on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Central Michigan Community Hospital.

A Funeral Mass for Ron will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Beal City on Tuesday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m., with Fr. John Cotter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends at St. Joseph the Worker Church on Sunday, April 30, from 6-9 p.m., with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 1, from 6-9 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and on Tuesday, May 2, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School or for the Pasch Family’s wishes. Envelopes will be available at the church or Clark Funeral Chapel.

Ron was born on June 22, 1925, in Beal City, the son of Michael and Lillian (Sebenick) Pasch. He married Rosalia Faber on November 6, 1948. Next to his family and grandchildren, farming was the love of Ron’s life. Two of his sons as well as his grandsons continue to operate the family farm.

Ron was a Navy World War II veteran. He attended MSU on a Kellogg scholarship after the service and then came back to farming. He was an excellent and prosperous farmer He retired in 1988 and moved off the farm to Beal City. Ron was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3651. Ron had served on the DHIA Board and the Board of Directors for Soil Conservation. He loved music, dancing, playing cards, and family get-togethers at Littlefield Lake.

Ron is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosalia “Sally” Pasch; six children, Michael (Gail) Pasch and Robert (Mary) Pasch, both of Beal City, Stanley (Ann) Pasch of Lake Leelanau, Leo(Pauline) Pasch of DeWitt, Nancy (Leo) Albert of Stanton, Joyce (David) Timm of Plymouth, and daughter-in-law Betty Pasch of Beal City, 37 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 sister-in-law, Katherine Pasch.

Ron was preceded in death by his son Mark, his parents, two sisters, and three brothers.
